2013 BCC Dress A Girl Around the World News… 

• BCC DAG Cambodia team leaves February 10^th! Pam Messmer and Diana Sharlow will be in Cambodia on the OM Hope Ship visiting schools, orphanages and villages to help deliver the 13,000 dresses we collected across the nation!  Eight women total across the country will be going on this trip…Including Rachel Eggum who started DAG!  If you’d like to send them off with a DAG hug meet us at the airport on 2/10 at 6:10am.  To see them return the ladies are scheduled to return on Tues. 2/19 at 3:45p.  You can hear their stories at our next BCC DAG event…Thank you Joan for leading this team!

YARN, 1 “ GROSGRAIN RIBBON, EXTRA WIDE DOUBLE FOLD BIAS TAPE, GIRLS YOUTH T SHIRTS, Beanie Babies

·        BCC DAG presented to the BCC SALT Seniors group.  They learned all about Dress A Girl!  

·        BCC 2^ND GRADE Pioneer Girls learned about dress a girl and made dolls for the dress pockets!  Great job girls!!!

·        BCC 4^th grade Pioneer girls are collecting Beanie Babies at BCC and schools for DAG.  So far 110!!!!  They even have Dewitt school collecting them!  Way to go Girls!  Thank you so much!

BCC Pioneer girls make Dress A Girl Dolls for Orphans

The girls learned about the importance of helping others,

serving and where in the bible God says to do so.

GREAT NEWS:  Browncroft Community Church Dress A Girl...sponsored by Missions
                               What a blessed day it was to share with all of you on Nov. 3rd! 

• 208 dolls and 128 dresses (and counting)  were made at the 11/3 event!  WOW!!!!
• Thank you to all off the volunteers who helped Dress a Girl Around the World!
• Thank you Margaret, John, Diane and Luke for serving us food throughout the day!
• Thank you to all who took materials home to continue to make dresses and dolls at home!
• Thank you Table Shepards for all of your help!

PRAYERS NEEDED:    The BCC CAMBODIA MISSION TEAM will be leaving in February for a week on the OM Hope Ship (www.omships.org) .   They will deliver food and DAG dresses to needy children.  Please pray for them as they prepare to leave.  Pray for the ship to finish the needed maintenance and travel to Cambodia on time.  Please prayerfully consider supporting them financially, so we can make this short term mission trip happen!  BCC members write "Cambodia Mission" and $ amount on the missions line of your tything envelope.  Or mail your support to:  Browncroft Community Church, Attn: Anita Houser, Missions Dept.,  2530 Browncroft Blvd., Rochester, NY 14625.   Check made out to BCC with "Cambodia Mission Trip "in memo line.

BCC Dress A Girl November 3rd

Browncroft Community Church will host another Dress A Girl Around the World event on Saturday, November 3rd from 9a-3p. 
Bring you sewing machine if you have one and your family and friends (over 6 years of age) for a wonderful day of blessing a child in need here and around the world with a beautiful hand made dress and doll.  You helped make 10,100 dresses for Cambodia in 4 months...Now let's see where God takes us next! 

*****We need ......sewers, cutters, ironers, sorters, dress kit makers and doll makers.

Donation items needed:  5/8 to 1 in. grosgrain ribbon, extra wide double fold bias tape, pillow cases and cotton fabric appropriate for dress making. 

Please come on Nov. 3rd help with our mission to Dress A girl Around the World.   Because every little girl deserves one new dress in their lifetime!

BCC Dress A Girl Event & 10,000 Dresses needed for Cambodia

Come sew with us at the BCC DAG sewing event on Sat. Aug. 25th from 9-3p.
  We will be making dolls, dresses and fund raising for the DAG Cambodia team.

 ITEMS NEEDED FOR THIS EVENT: A sewing machine if you have one,  pillow cases, cotton fabric, extra wide double fold bias tape, 1"grosgrain ribbon, yarn, prayers and YOU!
  Bring friends, family and neighbors, and kids over 6.   No childcare provided for this event.
Items will be for sale at this event to help the Dress A Girl Cambodia team raise funds for their mission.  Donations can also be made on your BCC tithing envelope by writing "Cambodia Mission trip" on the mission line along with your support amount.
PLEASE help us reach our goal of 10,000 Dresses for Cambodia!

10,000 DRESSES STILL NEEDED: Any dresses that you have finished please deliver them to Angels of Mercy, 692 Winton Rd. Rochester, NY 14609 585-730-4556 by August 17 at 11am.  We will be mailing out dresses for Cambodia.
